Hi, my name is Terry and this is my website. To help you choose me, to provide your flooring services, I would like to give you some information about me and my past.

I was born locally and have lived and worked within West Yorkshire all of my life. My first job in the carpeting industry was at Firths Carpets in Bailiff Bridge, where I gained a carpet planning and fitting apprenticeship, following a further 2 years work I gained the title of A grade fitter. Whilst working at Firths I became fully accustomed to luxury domestic installations, large contracts in offices, shops, pubs, clubs and factories in all area’s of the country. Firths also mainly specialised in wool carpets so this became one of my specialities also.
On leaving Firths I went to Cannon Mills in Bradford, as a sales man estimator, which gave me exposure and experience to the retail element of the trade. Through hard work and determination I became the Carpet Department Manager a position I held for 2 years until Cannon Mills creased trading.
At this point I took a short break from the carpet industry and took a job in the banking sector, this never kept my interest in the same way, so I was soon back in the carpet industry after starting my own business fitting carpets for shops. I continued to do this for 8 years and built some excellent relationships within the business at shops and suppliers. However, by this point I realised I could provide a fuller, more efficient and personal service to my customers by supplying the carpets aswell as fitting them.
This is where the true force of Terry the Carpet Ltd was born. For the last 25 years I have continued to build on my experience and the services I can provide. I now offer a full shop at home pattern book service, this means I visit your home with samples for you to choose from, saving you the hassle of traipsing round the shops. I supply a full range of carpets, vinyl’s and Karndean flooring including the essentials such as gripper, underlay and hardboard. A full range of budgets can be catered for and of course you have the security of a manufactures warranty with any flooring purchased.
For the added personal touch, it is only me you will ever have to deal with from start to finish. Asides from my wife, maybe taking your initial phone call if I am not home, it will then be me who calls you back, it will be me who visits your home with pattern books and it will be me that fits your choice of flooring, therefore cutting out the annoying middle man!
